NBA Rumors: Mavericks "Determined" To Keep Two Key Role Players Around

Sometimes, a player's contribution on the court isn't the only factor that can determine his value to a team. In the case of the Dallas Mavericks, they are "determined" to find a way to keep "glue guys" Theo Pinson and Boban Marjanovic around for next season.

According to NBA Insider Marc SteinPinson is viewed as an important part of the team dynamic, and while he becomes an unrestricted free agent, expect the Mavs to sign him to a standard contract (coming off his expiring two-way) to keep him around.

At the team's season-ending news conference after their elimination by the Golden State Warriors, the bond between the Mavericks was palpable, and Pinson, as always, was right in the middle of it.. Even crashing the podium of teammate Dorian Finney-Smith.
"I'll tell you there's not one team had more fun than we did." And that sums it up.

As for the 7'4" Marjanovic, he finished 2nd in the NBA's Teammate of the Year voting, and his constant smile always lights up the room, while he attempts to make his teammates laugh. He has a 3.5M contract for next season.

This Mavericks team, led by Luka Doncic, took a huge step to get to the Conference Finals this season, and this could be just the beginning.
