NBA Rumors: Raptors and Magic Could Complete Blockbuster Trade

The Toronto Raptors are in the market for a big man and the Orlando Magic may have too many to choose from as the Magic recently won the NBA's draft lottery. With Chet Holmgren the likely pick, it leaves Magic big man Mo Bamba as the likely odd man out. Bamba is a restricted free agent and a deal could be in the works with the Raptors this offseason.

The 24-year-old Bamba appeared in 71 games last season, averaging 10.6 ppg, 8.1 rpg and 1.7 blocks, while shooting 48% from the field. He started 69 of those 71 games and saw his minutes climb over 25 per game for the first time in his career. The Raptors are getting desperate for a big man who can run the floor, rebound and block shots and this could potentially be the perfect match.

As for what a deal would look like, it's likely we'd see Malachi Flynn, and one of Khem Birch or Precious Achiuwa involved. Both big men are a little undersized, where Bamba would provide the 7-footer Toronto has been looking for since Jonas Valancuinas left town.

Keep an eye on these two teams as things are going to get interesting in the eastern conference this summer. From Orlando having the #1 pick and some trade options, to the Raptors discussing moves to acquire a big man, to the Chicago Bulls Zach Lavine likely skipping town, it's going to have a much different feel next season.
