NBA Rumors: Myles Turner Back On The Trade Block

At one point before this season's trade deadline, Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner was considered one of the most likely players to get dealt. Then he suffered a stress reaction in his left foot, and things went quiet on the Turner front.

Now, according to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report, the Pacers have "since resumed trade conversations" for the elite rim-protector, in advance of next week's NBA Draft, looking to grab another primo selection.

The Pacers are determined to build around their star trade deadline acquisition from this past season, says Fischer.

Indiana has openly projected a willingness to further steer into a rebuild this offseason, sources said, with an eye toward acquiring young talent to play alongside the 22-year-old Haliburton.

Turner isn't exactly a has-been, as he just turned 26, but nevertheless, he's found himself back on the Pacers' trade block, according to sources.

One of the key factors here, is that the 6'11" big man is entering the final year of his contract, and is a free agent after next season. It appears that "there's little momentum for a contract extension with Indiana," according to Fischer.
