NBA Rumors: Timberwolves Guard Being Shopped

The Minnesota Timberwolves had a successful season, but they're apparently not resting on their laurels. According to Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer, the T-Wolves could make a draft selection that would allow them to trade a current veteran asset:

O'Connor says that since Russell is "being shopping around", it makes sense for them to take exciting Kentucky point guard TyTy Washington Jr. with their No. 19 pick, should he fall to them.

That would create a dynamic pick-and-roll tandem with Karl-Anthony Towns, posits O'Connor, then bringing back some other asset(s) for D'Angelo could boost the team even more.

Russell, who is very tight with Towns, is a former All-Star, and averages 17.7 points and 5.6 assists in his 7-year career. With the T-Wolves this past season, he posted marks of 18.1 PPG and 7.1 assists.
