NBA Rumors: PJ Tucker Now Has 5 Suitors Emerging In Free Agency

Just when it appeared that free agent forward PJ Tucker was a certainty to be heading to the Philadelphia 76ers, a new report has emerged that there are now 5 teams in hot pursuit of the 37-year-old.

Brooklyn Nets beat writer Alex Schiffer has revealed that the five teams that will be competing for Tucker are the Nets, the Atlanta Hawks, the Chicago Bulls, the Minnesota Timberwolves and, of course, the Sixers.

Schiffer adds that Tucker is "unlikely" to return to the Miami Heat.

Knowing that Tucker is only interested in competing for a championship, we can pretty much axe the T-Wolves off this list, and while the Hawks are making big strides back into contention, whether they're completely title-ready is still a question.

The Bulls would be in consideration, as would the Nets.

The Sixers undoubtedly still have the upper hand, however, as Tucker has a history with James Harden and GM Daryl Morey in their years in Houston. Philly is said to be offering a 3-year deal at $30M.
