Pat Riley Calls Out Kyle Lowry Over His Conditioning

Miami Heat president Pat Riley has never been one to mince words. If he's feeling it, he'll let you know. And after spending $85M to bring in Kyle Lowry for three years, Riley is voicing his...uh...concerns over the shape that Lowry was in this season.

Lowry had several injury problems that slowed him down and kept him out of the lineup this season. He missed several playoff games, and participated in only 63 games in the regular season. That simply doesn't sit well with Riley, who specifically thinks that Lowry "can be in better shape."

“The bottom line with me and for me as far as hoping you can get the most out of a player…is that you have to be in world class shape, you just have to be.” “He’s definitely gonna have to address that and it will be addressed.”

Lowry averaged 13.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 7.5 assists when he did play. That's down about several points a game from previous seasons with Toronto.
