Hawks Hire A Familiar All-Star Face

He spent probably the best five years of his 17-year NBA career with the Atlanta Hawks, now three-point sniper Kyle Korver is back, this time in a new role.

Korver was an All-Star for the Hawks in 2015, when he shot a ridiculous 49% from three-point range. He averaged 9.7 points in his career, finishing with a 43% mark from distance. He is the only player to ever lead the NBA in three-point percentage four times, and holds the best single-season mark in league history (.536 in 2009-10 with the Utah Jazz).

His newly-created role is Director of Player Affairs & Development. He "will assist in creating and overseeing a development plan for each Hawks player in partnership with the coaches, athletic performance team and front office," according to a team release.
