NBA Rumors: Raptors, Jazz Discussed Blockbuster

According to reports, the Toronto Raptors appear to be in wheeling and dealing mode this summer. Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reports that Toronto made a huge offer to the Utah Jazz in an attempt to land Rudy Gobert, before he was dealt to Minnesota.

The rumor had the Raptors sending supreme defensive forward OG Anunoby and ball-hound guard Gary Trent Jr. to the Jazz in return for the 3-time Defensive Player of the Year.

Gobert would have added an interior presence that the Raptors have been lacking; the team has been in on the rumors for just about every big-time rim-protecting center that's been on the market recently (Myles Turner and Mitchell Robinson are two other examples).

In the end, however, Danny Ainge and the Jazz got themselves four first-round picks (plus this year's first-rounder Walker Kessler), and four other players in return for Gobert
