NBA Rumors: Two Players Hornets Are Targeting In Trades To Replace Miles Bridges

The Miles Bridges case is a horrendous situation for everyone involved, one that’s much bigger than basketball. And with the restricted free agent unlikely to be back in the NBA anytime soon, if ever, the Charlotte Hornets need to move on.

There are two topflight players the Hornets are rumored to be looking into to help replace the 20 points and seven rebounds subtracted from their lineup.

Neither of them are power forwards, but centers Myles Turner and Jakob Poeltl could each help fill that roster spot quite well. Both could be available, as they currently reside with rebuilding teams.

Turner is in the final year of his contract, earning $17.5M this season. He's been on the trade block for some time, and there are several suitors interested.

Turner is an elite rim protector, and a floor spacer.

As for Poeltl, the Hornets were in serious talks surrounding him at the trade deadline, and it's unlikely their interest has waned after his terrific season. The 7-footer had a breakout year in 2021-22, and word is that the Spurs will be asking a hefty price for him in any trade.
