Phoenix Suns Tie Up Crucial Member For Long-Term

With Deandre Ayton now re-signed, and Devin Booker and Chris Paul still in tow, most would argue that the next most-important member of the Phoenix Suns' franchise would be head coach Monty Williams. The Suns made that a priority this offseason, and today tied him up for the long-term.

Williams still had two years left on his 5-year deal, but this extension obviously has him on board for several more seasons after that, though no exact terms have been released.

The 55-year-old led the Suns to the 2021 NBA Finals, then a franchise-record 64 regular-season victories in 2021-22, including a team-record 18-game winning streak. The Suns were the only team in the league to rank in the Top 5 in both offensive and defensive efficiency.

The reigning NBA Coach of the Year has a remarkable record of 149-78 in his three seasons in The Valley.
