Trail Blazers Sign Guard

According to Shams Charania, the Trail Blazers are signing Gary Payton II to a three-year, $28 million contract.

Payton Jr. put together a strong campaign for the Warriors this season. In 71 games, he averaged 7.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 0.9 assists. This was the best production of his NBA career, and now he has earned himself this sweet deal with Portland because of it.

Although the Warriors were pushing to re-sign Payton II, they simply couldn't match Portland's offer. Thus, the 29-year-old is now a Trail Blazer.
