NBA Rumors: Celtics Make One Player Unavailable In Trade Talks

If the Boston Celtics are going to be negotiating a trade for Kevin Durant, the Brooklyn Nets can expect to have more than just Jayson Tatum left out of the offer.

A report today suggests that the Celtics also have no intention of trading their dynamic young rim-protecting big man.

Robert Williams III is "off limits" in trade talks for Durant or anyone else, according to Kurt Helin of NBC Sports

It's almost surprising that the Celtics are still even talking to the Nets after Brooklyn's first ask, according to a report on Wednesday, was for both Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum. As Helin asks, "How long did it take Brad Stevens to stop laughing after that first request?"

Nevertheless, the Celtics appear to still be engaged in Durant talks, as well as one of their chief rivals in the East, who KD has said he's now open to.

As for Williams, Boston considers the center a huge part of their future, and his continued growth as a defensive force would suggest.

Williams had a significant increase in all areas of his game this past season, while scoring 10 points per game, along with 9.9 rebounds, and a whopping 2.2 blocks per game.
