Lakers Sign Two Free Agents To Fill Out Camp Roster

While the players and coaching staff were facing the media on Monday, the Los Angeles Lakers front office was completing some business, filling out their training camp roster.

Dwayne Bacon last played in the NBA in the 2020-21 season, and posted a decent season in 72 games for the Orlando Magic. The 6'6" shooting guard averaged 10.9 points and 3.1 rebounds in just over 25 minutes per game. He also spent three years prior to that with the Charlotte Hornets. Over his four NBA seasons, he's averaged 7.3 points and 2.6 rebounds in 19 minutes.

He played in Europe with Monaco last year, averaging 13.6 points and 3.5 rebounds while hitting on 36.7% of his threes.

Matt Ryan is a 6'7" forward who played in one game for the Boston Celtics last season. In 20 G League games, he averaged 19.4 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists while shooting 41.5% from long range.

He also put up 19 points per game on 52.6% shooting from 3-point land in two Summer League games for the Celtics.

That brings the roster to 20 as the Lakers officially open camp on Tuesday.
