Clippers Waive 3 Players, Sign 2 More

The Los Angeles Clippers have made some sweeping changes to their camp roster this weekend, waiving three and signing on two more.

Gone are Juwan Morgan, Michael Devoe and Lucas Williamson, while they've added Malik Fitts and Nate Darling.

The 25-year-old Fitts, a 6'8" power forward, played in 15 games total last season for the Utah Jazz and Boston Celtics, but only averaged four minutes per appearance. Fitts was traded to the Indiana Pacers as part of the deal that landed Malcolm Brogdon in Boston, but the Pacers waived him shortly thereafter.

Darling, 24, is a 6'6" shooting guard who played seven games last season for the Charlotte Hornets, playing less than four minutes per game, and averaging 1.3 points per contest. He went undrafted out of Delaware in 2020.

The Clippers are already familiar with the Canadian-born Darling, as he had a nice run with their G League affiliate, the Ontario Clippers, last season, where he averaged 17.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.1 assists in 31 games.

Both players will likely be headed to the G League team after the preseason is done. The Clippers now have 19 in camp.
