Juancho Hernangomez Has Won Another Audition: Nurse Confirms His Role

After an incredible summer, Juancho Hernangomez appears to be continuing on his excellent adventure. Toronto Raptors head coach Nick Nurse says that the EuroBasket Finals MVP will be a part of the Raptors rotation to open the season.

Nurse has said that he expects the 'Hustle' star to be a part of his rotation, not only to cover for injuries to start the season, but even going forward.

Otto Porter and Chris Boucher are out with minor injuries to start the year, so Hernangomez will be even more crucial, bringing his shooting to the Raptors' second unit.

The 27-year-old Spaniard has six years of experience in the NBA, but really became a household name earlier this summer, both as "Bo Cruz"—as the co-star of the Adam Sandler movie 'Hustle'—and with a Finals MVP performance at EuroBasket, scoring 27 points.

Nurse says he's been "managing his minutes" due to his busy summer, but he's going to lean on him for the bench unit once the season begins.
