Grizzlies Lose Star Player For Weeks

A terrible break for the Memphis Grizzlies, losing breakout star Desmond Bane to a toe sprain.

Bane, who's missed the last two games, has a Grade 2 sprain of his right big toe and will be re-evaluated in 2-3 weeks. He will hopefully be able to return by the first week of December.

The timing couldn't be worse, as the third-year player has exploded this season for the Grizzlies, averaging 24.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 4.8 assists, while shooting 45% from downtown, on his way to a sure-fire All-Star season.

One silver lining for the Grizzlies overall is that Jaren Jackson Jr. is finally about to return for the first time this season (he is questionable, however, for Tuesday night.)

Unfortunately, it's one key player in, and one key player out.

The Grizz are 9-3 when Bane plays this season, and 0-2 in the two games he's missed.
