NBA Rumors: Clippers Prepared To Put Surprising Player In Trade Talks

The Los Angeles Clippers have been searching this season for some frontcourt depth, in particular a backup for starting center Ivica Zubac. And according to Sam Amico of Hoops Wire, they're even willing to surrender John Wall in a trade.

Wall was the long-needed point guard that the Clippers had been seeking, so it would be a bit of a surprise if they were to deal him away now. He's done a nice job in his limited role with the team this season, averaging 11.7 points and 5.9 assists in about 22 minutes per game. His perimeter shooting can't be counted on, however, as he's hitting on just 26.5% from long distance.

In their continued search for a big man, Amico is reporting that the Clippers might get involved in the ongoing John Collins trade talks that the Atlanta Hawks are seemingly endlessly involved in.

Wall agreed to a 2-year, $13M deal this summer to come to the Clippers, after sitting out all of last season as the Houston Rockets told him to stay home.
