Disheartening News On Karl-Anthony Towns Injury Front

Karl-Anthony Towns suffered a calf strain three weeks ago, and while the Minnesota Timberwolves have held their own without him thus far, the sooner he returns, obviously, the better. Which makes today's update from head coach Chris Finch somewhat depressing for Wolves fans.

Finch believes that Towns will still be out "a multitude of weeks" according to a report. He's apparently due for a "reevaluation" soon.

The injury occurred during a game on Nov. 29th, and he had to be helped off the court.

The three-time All-Star played all 82 games in his first three seasons in the league, but has faced a number of injury issues since the 2019-20 season. He did play in 74 games last year, but only 50 games, and 35 in the two years before that. He's missed 10 games thus far this season, with surely at least another ten to go before he returns, according to Finch's "multitude of weeks" assessment.

Towns is averaging 20.8 points, 8.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists in 21 games with 50.5% shooting from the field.
