Report: “The Entire League” Interested In Raptors Defensive Stopper

The Toronto Raptors are in a free fall at the moment, losers of six straight games, falling to 13-18, in 10th spot in the Eastern Conference. Observers everywhere are "bracing for fireworks" from Masai Ujiri And Co. if things don't pick up in a hurry.

In the meantime, the calls are coming in fast and furious from teams looking to pry defensive player of the year candidate OG Anunoby from the Raptors.

According to ESPN's Zach Lowe, “the entire league wants OG Anunoby. Everybody wants OG Anunoby. If he ever gets traded, the price and picks are going to surprise people because it might be on par almost with what the Cavs gave up for Donovan Mitchell.”

That would certainly be a haul. But are the Raptors ready to give up the season just yet? A trade of Anunoby would be an effective surrender by Masai and general manager Bobby Webster.

One team that we know has come calling was revealed today, as noted by Ian Begley of SNY.

The New York Knicks reached out to Toronto to inquire about obtaining OG, but that was before the Knicks commenced their current 7-game winning streak.

The 25-year-old Anunoby currently leads the NBA in steals, at 2.4 per game, while averaging 18.7 points and 5.8 rebounds.
