NBA Rumors: 4 Leading Suitors For John Collins

The John Collins rumors just won't die. The Atlanta Hawks seem destined to trade him at some point, even if just to fulfill one of the daily trade rumors that have consumed them the past two years.

The latest, from NBA Insider Shams Charania has pegged four teams as frontrunners to land the Hawks' power forward.

Brooklyn Nets

There's been a potential framework on the table, according to Charania, that would include Joe Harris going from Brooklyn to Dallas, but the Mavs apparently aren't too keen on it. Collins could provide, however, "a necessary jolt" to their frontcourt, as Charania puts it.

Dallas Mavericks

Mired at .500 (13-13), the Mavs need to shake things up somehow, and bringing in another big body for the front line might be the way to do it.

Utah Jazz

Who'd have thought before the season that we'd be sitting here a third of the way into the season talking about the Jazz looking to add rather than subtract? But that's just where we seem to be. Collins would provide a missing big man presence up front for Utah.

Washington Wizards

There are new rumblings about the future of Kyle Kuzma, who has a $13M player option at the end of the season and can become a free agent. Charania calls him "a fascinating talent for teams across the league to monitor ahead of the Feb. 9 trade deadline." Perhaps there's a match with the Hawks and Collins here.

Collins will keep on being rumored to be on the move, and we'll continue to bring you the latest.
