Boston Celtics Guard Jaylen Brown Scores Season High in Win Over New Orleans Pelicans

The Boston Celtics took care of business against the New Orleans Pelicans in a 125-114 win on Wednesday, and their young versatile guard Jaylen Brown was unquestionably the star of the night. Brown scored a season-high 41 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, leading all players in both categories for the game.
Brown hit 15 of his 21 field goal attempts for an exceptionally efficient 71.4 field goal percentage. The big night lifted his per-game season averages to 27.2 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 5.9 assists with a .595 true shooting percentage. Amazingly, all four are career highs.

The continued ascents of Brown and teammate Jayson Tatum to the upper echelons of the NBA's elite have the Celtics among the very best teams in the association yet again in the 2022-23 season. The team's 30-12 record is the best in the NBA. If Brown and Tatum continue to improve, it won't be long before the Celtics finally take the next step and win an NBA title. The duo made the Finals just last year.

The Celtics will travel to Brooklyn to face the Nets later tonight.
