Joel Embiid Dominates in Philadelphia 76ers Win Over Los Angeles Clippers

The Philadelphia 76ers took care of business against the Los Angeles Clippers Tuesday night. Even with Clippers stars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George to contend with, 76ers center Joel Embiid was by far the best player on the court, scoring 41 points in only 33 minutes to lead his team to a 120-110 win.

Embiid hit 12 of his 22 field goal attempts and added nine rebounds, three assists, and two blocks. It was the latest chapter in what has been a remarkable hot streak for the center: he's averaging 35.7 points per game in the new year. Tuesday also marked his sixth-straight 30+ point game.

Embiid is in the middle of a career year as a scorer: his 33.6 points per game and .536 shooting percentage are personal bests. The 76ers are beneficiaries of his stellar play: they're 28-16 and third in the Eastern Conference. If he can remain healthy, he's certain to appear on MVP ballots at the end of the year.

The 76ers will travel to Portland to face the Trail Blazers on Thursday night.
