NBA Rumors: Rival Execs Keeping "A Side Eye" On Chris Paul & Suns
Would the Phoenix Suns really consider moving off of aging Chris Paul in their need to shake up their roster? Most observers think that's not the case. However, that doesn't mean they aren't keeping the idea on their radar.
Teams Monitoring CP3 đź‘€: NBA execs are ‘keeping a side eye’ on Chris Paul as a potential trade target ahead of deadline (Action Network)

According to NBA Insider Matt Moore of The Action Network:
Executives are keeping a side eye on that situation in the event that Phoenix — with new ownership reportedly set to be in place soon — decides to focus on sustaining a core around Devin Booker.
Clearly, the 26-year-old Booker is the future (and the present) of the Suns, and with this year's edition of the team struggling to stay above .500, they could at some point—perhaps under new ownership, as Moore suggests—look to transition into that future.
A 12-time All-Star, Paul is turning 38 this spring, and has been forced to the sidelines with injuries more and more in recent years. He's only managed to play 30 games thus far this season. He missed 14 games earlier in the year with a heel injury, and this month had been dealing with a hip injury that cost him another seven games.
CP3, still owed $30.8M next season, is averaging a career-low 14.3 points this season, but is still the ultimate floor leader, with 8.7 assists, while shooting a six-year high 40.5% from downtown.
As Moore notes, " there has yet to be any sign from Phoenix that they want to get ahead of Chris Paul’s decline and move the... future Hall of Famer", but rival execs aren't losing sight of the remote possibility, either.
