NBA Rumors: Two Teams Linked To Timberwolves Center In Trade Talks

The Minnesota Timberwolves are one of the teams looking to make a move in the second half, and a little shakeup at the trade deadline is a distinct possibility.

Center Naz Reid has had a nice season thus far, and has attracted interest from at least two teams, according to a source:

Minnesota Timberwolves center Naz Reid has drawn interest from various teams on the trade market, including the Los Angeles Clippers and Denver Nuggets, league sources told HoopsHype.

Michael Scotto of HoopsHype suggests that the Nuggets could be an intriguing fit, as current Wolves top executive Tim Connelly held the same role in Denver. A trade of Bones Hyland is posited by Scotto as an option that would intrigue Connelly.

In addition, he suggests that if the Clippers were to make Terance Mann available, that could get a deal done as well.

Reid has blossomed in his seven games as a starter, averaging 15.4 points, and 6.4 rebounds in 25.9 minutes. But he's also doing it at the defensive end, with 1.0 blocked shot per game as well.

He, along with D'Angelo Russell, remain the top trade chip possibilities as the T'Wolves head toward the Feb. 9th deadline.
