NBA Cancels Pistons Game With Team Grounded Due To Weather

A freak ice storm in Texas has grounded the Detroit Pistons in Dallas after their Monday night game against the Mavericks. This has caused the NBA to cancel the Pistons' next game which was scheduled for today in Detroit against the Washington Wizards.

And that might not be the end of the scheduling nightmare for the NBA, as there are reports the Pistons could be stuck in Dallas for another day yet.

According to NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski, the Pistons may not be able to fly out of Dallas until Thursday because of icing issues. He also notes that there's uncertainty now about the New Orleans Pelicans' chances of flying into Dallas to play the Mavs Thursday night.

As for rescheduling the Pistons/Wizards game, Thursday is an off day for both teams, but that would create an untenable back-to-back-back three straight days of games for both teams.

No makeup date has been scheduled yet.
