NBA Insider Says West Contender Is Emerging As Kevin Love Suitor

It appears that 5-time All-Star and former World Champion Kevin Love is going to have some premium suitors on the buyout market. We got word early in the day that the Miami Heat would be a team to watch in the East, but now ESPN's Brian Windhorst, who always has his ear to the ground, tells us that a top contender in the West is also circling around the former Cleveland Cavalier.

Keep an eye out for the (Phoenix) Suns as a contender for Kevin Love.

"The Suns have been doing some background research into Kevin over the last 24 hours. And don't forget that James Jones, the (Suns) team president, was teammates with Kevin Love when they won the championship in 2016 with the Cavs," said Windhorst.

"The new-look Suns have a roster spot, and have a bunch of money they can still pay to free agents. So keep an eye on the Suns as a contender for Kevin Love."

The Suns this week also brought in another shooter this week off the buyout market, albeit a much less accomplished one, in Terrence Ross from the Orlando Magic.

Love, in his 15-year career, has averages of 17.2 points and 10.5 rebounds, with a 37.2% mark from long distance. This season, he's averaged 8.5 points, 6.8 boards and 35.4% from three, though he was been dropped from the Cavs' rotation for the past dozen games.
