NBA Rumors: Miami Heat "Motivated" To Move Kyle Lowry

With his minutes and production dwindling, Kyle Lowry is having his worst season in 13 years, and according to a report from a Miami Heat Insider, the team is looking to find him a change of scenery.

Greg Sylvander reports that “The organization believes the guys in the locker room, even Lowry’s closest friends, recognize the need for a change.”

According to the Miami Herald, the Heat have received several inquiries about Lowry, and with $29.7M still owing on his deal for next season, the team would like to divest itself of that money.

The former NBA champion has found himself on the bench in crunch time in some games lately, and his minutes have decreased from the 35:00+ range over the season's first two months, to the mid-20s over the past eight games.

On the year, the 36-year-old is averaging 12 points and 5.3 assists, and is shooting just 33.3% from long distance, all his lowest numbers since 2009-10.
