NBA Rumors: Top Suitor Emerges For Jarred Vanderbilt

Utah Jazz power forward Jarred Vanderbilt's name has been one of the more common ones we've heard making the rumor mill this trade season. Plenty of teams have been linked to him, but today we get word from NBA Insider Shams Charania that the Portland Trail Blazers have emerged as a top suitor.

"The Portland Trail Blazers have emerged as a strong suitor for Utah Jazz forward Jarred Vanderbilt. Sources tell me Portland is among a few teams showing interest in Vanderbilt, who appears increasingly likely to be dealt before next Thursday's trade deadline."

Vanderbilt was acquired from the Minnesota Timberwolves last summer as part of the massive haul the Jazz got in the Rudy Gobert trade. He's averaging a career-high 8.5 points along with 7.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 24 minutes per game, mostly as a starter.

The Atlanta Hawks are another team that's known to have interest in Vanderbilt, in a deal that would be centered around John Collins.

The Jazz, however, are known to want a first-round pick to be included in any return for the 23-year-old power forward.
