Another Laker Star Ruled Out Vs. OKC

It appears the injury bug has hit the Los Angeles Lakers at the worst possible time, just as they try to make a push for a playoff spot in a battleground that is the Western Conference.

The LA club listed Anthony Davis as OUT on Wednesday against the OKC Thunder due to a right foot stress injury, via NBA insider Marc Stein.

The Lakers say Anthony Davis will miss tonight's second half of a back-to-back against Oklahoma City, joining LeBron James and D'Angelo Russell on LA's list of players out.

It is possible Davis reaggravated his previous foot injury in the 121-109 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night as he missed over five weeks of action earlier this season after suffering a fractured bone spur, and stress reaction in his right foot in mid December.

Davis now joins fellow teammates LeBron James (right foot soreness) and D'Angelo Russell (right ankle sprain) on the sidelines during a crucial seeding matchup against a Thunder squad, who are also missing their star player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander due to health and safety protocols.

The Lakers (29-33) are just one game above OKC (28-33) as the 12th seed in the west and Wednesday's matchup could prove to be vital as the regular season concludes in just over a months time.
