Ja Morant Facing Disturbing Accusations Off The Court

Very disturbing news today as one of the NBA's top young stars is facing a number of worrying accusations.

The events transpired last summer, and include an incident where Morant is alleged to have beaten a 17-year-old boy, punching him repeatedly about the head, and then threatening him with a gun.

According to the Washington Post's Molly Hensley-Clancy, "The teenager told detectives from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office that, after the fight, Morant went into his house and re-emerged with a gun visible in the waistband of his pants and his hand on the weapon, according to police interviews obtained by The Post, which have not previously been reported.”

Morant is also accused of violent or threatening behavior in another police report, including previously unknown allegations that Morant "threatened" a mall security director.

This is not a good look, obviously, for the NBA and one of its most dynamic young stars.

These are just the latest incidents involving the two-time All-star, who has been at the center of on- and off-the-court issues more than once in the past year.

We'll see if the Commissioner's Office has any response.
