Atlanta Hawks Re-Sign Wing To 4-Year Extension

His name was mentioned at the trade deadline as a desired wing player for teams looking for shooting. And with word that he would be declining his $18M option for next season, Bogdan Bogdanovich was set to become a free agent. Until now.

Per NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski, the 30-year-old sharpshooter has agreed to a 4-year, $68M extension with the Hawks, keeping him in the ATL through the 2026-27 season. The extension kicks in next year.

Bogdanovic has been the model of consistency in his six years in the NBA, the last three with the Hawks. He's currently averaging 14.1 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists through 43 games, while shooting 40.1% from downtown. Those numbers are pretty consistent with his output every single season, with overall career marks of 14.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists, with a 38.6% mark from three.

The Hawks are in the midst of an evaluation from new head coach Quin Snyder since he took over the team eight games ago. Bogdanovic is obviously part of his long-range plans.
