BREAKING: Lonzo Ball To Have 3rd Knee Surgery—And The News Gets Even Worse

The news just keeps getting worse for Lonzo Ball and the Chicago Bulls. He's confirmed to be having a third surgery on his puzzling knee injury, and this latest procedure will likely keep him out of most or all of next season as well.

In fact, according to Adrian Wojnarowski, "There are concerns about Ball’s ability to resume his career." Just devastating.

The hopes are that this third surgery will be able to provide an opportunity for him to revive his career in the future. The Bulls report that the new procedure will involve a cartilage transplant.

Ball signed a 4-year, $80M contract with the Bulls before the 2021-22 season. He first injured the knee in January 2022, and hasn't been able to return, sitting out all of this year as well. He'll now be forced to likely sit out 2 1/2 seasons when all is said and done.
