DeMarcus Cousins Has Solution For Grizzlies Turmoil

DeMarcus Cousins was once young, talented and in trouble for his behavior just like Ja Morant is now. After the current uproar over the Memphis Grizzlies' superstar's recent actions (and subsequent two-game banishment by his team), Boogie realizes he's seen this movie before (he starred in it), and knows how to help solve it.

"Hope this shows the importance of REAL VETS in the locker room. No young team should be without multiple veterans on the roster," wrote Cousins on Twitter.

The Grizzlies are indeed a young outfit, with their three leading scorers all 24 or younger. 11 of the 17 on their roster are 24 and under. The "grizzled" veteran on the Grizz is Steven Adams, who has yet to turn 30.

As for Cousins, a free agent again this season at 32, he does fit into the category of one of those "real vets" he was talking about. He did have a couple of shots back in the league last season with the Milwaukee Bucks and the Denver Nuggets, and averaged 9 points and 6.5 rebounds in 15 per game. However, there's still no NBA team this season—with an old or a young roster—that's been willing to sign him.
