Utah Jazz Reunited With Globetrotting Forward

After toiling away in places like Russia, Puerto Rico, and New Zealand, a former second-round NBA draft pick has finally found his way back to North America. 26-year-old forward Jarrell Brantley has signed a 10-day contract with the Utah Jazz.

Brantley had been with the Jazz in the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons, playing a total of 37 games, but just 6.3 minutes per contest. He averaged 2.4 points and 1.3 rebounds.

He had a bit more success with Utah's G League affiliate, particularly in his rookie season, posting marks of 18.8 points, 7.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists.

This past year, the 6'5" Brantley played 39 games he played for the New Zealand Breakers in the Australian professional league, posting 15.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.5 steals in 28.7 minutes per night.

He'll earn $105,522 on his 10-day deal, which will cover a total of six Jazz games.

Brantley is back in familiar surroundings, but it'll be interested to see if the Jazz can work him into any games.
