10-Year NBA Veteran Free Agent Is The Latest To Sign In Puerto Rico

It's getting tougher and tougher for traditional centers to find work in the NBA, which has left a 10-year veteran of nine different teams heading to Puerto Rico to continue his career.

The 32-year-old has signed with Osos de Manati, as the Puerto Rican club announced itself on Instagram. Monroe earlier this year had a 10-game stint in China with Shanxi Zhongyu.

He's also spent time overseas in Germany and Russia in past seasons, since his stint as a regular in the NBA essentially came to a close after the 2017-18 season.

Monroe last played in the NBA last season with four different teams for a handful with each. In his decade in the league, he averaged 13 points and 8.2 rebounds in about 27 minutes per game. He's suited up for nine different NBA clubs.
