NBA Rumors: 3 Cleveland Cavaliers On The Trade Block

More rumors are emerging out of Cleveland Cavaliers circles, as we hear today that three players will be on the trade block as the team is focused on adding an elite perimeter shooter who can defend, as well as a big body.

According to Sam Amico of Hoops Wire, 6'5" small forward Isaac Okoro will be the first one to find his name making the trade rounds, as he doesn't quite provide either the size or perimeter shooting that the team is looking for at the starting three.

Okoro saw his minutes take a precipitous dip this past season, dropping from 32 and 29 minutes per game in his first two seasons, to just 21 minutes, while averaging a career-low 6.4 points and 2.5 rebounds. His career mark from three-point range is 33%.

But he is young (22), athletic, brings the D, and has a great work ethic, which is bound to interest other teams in trade talks.

In addition, both Ricky Rubio and Cedi Osman will find their names being bandied about as well in the rumor mill, according to John Hollinger of The Athletic

The expiring or quasi-expiring contracts of Osman and Rubio (Rubio has a partial guarantee in '24-25) are an opportunity, giving the Cavs roughly $13 million in expiring money to put into a deal for more wing upgrades.

Earlier this week, we broke down two wing players who certainly won't be back in Cleveland next season, now we can add these three potential trade pieces tentatively to that list.
