NBA Rumors: Los Angeles Lakers Worried They Will Be Outbid On Rising Star
The Los Angeles Lakers continue their quest for their NBA leading 18th Championship tonight as they battle the Denver Nuggets in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals, but with the off-season just a few short weeks away, some within the organization have their eyes on some pending free agents.
One piece that could change the organization going forward is rising star Austin Reaves, and while the Lakers have made it clear they want to bring him back, there is now a growing fear within the organization that he could get an offer over $50 million this off-season, which would likely cause him to leave town.
Reaves has been crucial to this team all season long, and it makes sense if they want to keep him around for the future, but given his production and the lack of big name free agents this off-season, it's likely he gets a solid deal elsewhere.REPORT: The Lakers are concerned that Austin Reaves will receive an over $50M contract offer this summer, per The Athletic.
