BREAKING: Suns Make HUGE Decision On Chris Paul

In a stunning move, the Phoenix Suns have decided to waive 12-time All-Star Chris Paul.

The future Hall of Famer now becomes a free agent, and will immediately be one of the top point guards available for contenders looking for a point guard.

As noted by Chris Haynes, who broke the story, Paul, 38, still plans to play several more years and is "eager to help a team contend for a championship." Paul still doesn't have a title himself on his elite resume, but now has his pick of teams to choose from.

The cost for a team to pick up CP3 on waivers would be $30.8M, making that an unlikely option.

According to Shams Charania, the Suns and Paul are exploring multiple options, including a trade, waiving and stretching his contract over multiple years, or waiving and potentially re-resigning him in free agency.

However, once he clears waivers, the Los Angeles Lakers, LA Clippers, Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics are expected to bid on his services.

Paul, who just turned 38, averaged 13.9 pts and 8.9 assists per game this season.
