NBA Rumors: Minnesota Timberwolves Could Trade Star In The Next Few Weeks

 

The Minnesota Timberwolves took a big step forward in 2023 behind another fantastic season from breakout star Anthony Edwards, but after failing to get past the first round of the NBA Playoffs, it appears that the team is preparing for a big change.

It has now been reported that some executives around the league believe the Timberwolves are going to trade 27-year old NBA All-Star Karl-Anthony Towns in the next few weeks, as they believe Edwards is the future of this team, and will look to recoup some of the assets lost in the Rudy Gobert trade.

The two-time All-NBA star has been solid throughout his entire NBA career, posting 23.2 PPG, 11.2 RPG and 3.2 APG over his first eight seasons in the league, and with teams like the New York Knicks likely looking for another offensive piece, this could be a match made in heaven.
