NBA Rumors: Portland Trail Blazers Young Star Considered Untouchable In Trade Talks

The Portland Trail Blazers have already made their intentions clear this off-season, as they look to add a winning squad around All-NBA point guard Damian Lillard, and with the No. 3 pick in hand, this is a team that has the assets to go out and land an elite level pairing with Dame.

Beyond the No. 3 pick, Portland have Anfernee Simons, Shaedon Sharpe, Keon Johnson, Matisse Thybulle and other young names, but according to a recent report, Sharpe, their first-round pick (No. 7 overall) back in 2022 is considered 'untouchable', as he would be a key piece to a winning roster alongside Lillard and another star.

In his rookie campaign, Sharpe had several breathtaking highlight reel plays, and while he only averaged 9.9 points per game in his 22 minutes per night, he was taking just 8 shots a game, and if the Blazers can find a star to pair with Lillard, it appears they see Sharpe in a starring sixth man role, and if they can find a star, Sharpe would be the perfect spark for this team off the bench.
