Warriors Sign Former Draymond & Klay Nemesis

Things could get interesting at Golden State Warriors camp next week. The Dubs have signed a player that was once trashed by both Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. Rodney McGruder has agreed to a training camp deal to join the Warriors.

The 32-year-old free agent swingman spent the last three seasons with the Detroit Pistons, and while there, in 2021, got into a scuffle with then-Warrior Juan Toscano-Anderson during a game. Thompson ripped him from his perch in the broadcast booth, saying “This dude might be out (of) the league soon... like he’s a good player or something.”

Draymond got even more vocal about McGruder.

“Get the hell out of here. F*cking tough guy. Rodney, RODNEY," was how Green popped off after that 2021 incident against the Pistons. "Too many tough guys in this league these days for me. But I know ain't nobody scared of no Rodney McGruder. Like, f***ng kidding me?"

This should be interesting when Draymond, Klay and Rodney make acquaintances at camp next week. Could we have another Jordan Poole incident in the works at this year's camp??
