NBA Rumors: New York Knicks Continue To Monitor Star Center's Availability

The New York Knicks have been one of the Eastern Conference's best teams in the last three years, making the playoffs in two of those three seasons while assembling a solid. young core, and now, with a bevy of draft picks under their belt, they could be looking for a blockbuster deal any day now.

While they've been linked to names like Giannis Antetokounmpo, Donovan Mitchell and Joel Embiid, according to a recent report, they're also keeping a very close eye on the Karl-Anthony Towns situation in Minnesota, as the Timberwolves may be open to moving him instead of the two-center tandem of he and Rudy Gobert.

In Towns, the Knicks could find a partner for Julius Randle and Jalen Brunson, and while it's not the star many Knicks fans are hoping for, if done right, this could be a fantastic trio in a wide open Eastern Conference, and it's a move to keep a very close eye on.
