Here's The "High End" Trade Package Lakers Would Send for Zach LaVine

The Los Angeles Lakers would love to add another star player to their mix, and talk so far has largely centered around the one available star on the market—Zach LaVine of the Chicago Bulls. But how far would LA be willing to go in a deal of that sort?

According to Jovan Buha of The Athletic, the "high end" of packages they would offer centers around point guard D'Angelo Russell.

Here's what Buha suggests the Lakers would be willing to send for LaVine:

  • D'Angelo Russell
  • Rui Hachimura and/or Gabe Vincent
  • Max Christie OR Jalen Hood-Schifino
  • A protected pick (2029 or 2030 first-rounder)

To be clear, the Lakers "would fight to keep Hachimura and Christie" in such a scenario, as they consider this as doing the Bulls a favor, taking his massive contract ($45M AAV, 4 years remaining, including this one, off their hands.

But the Lakers would be adding another All-Star to the mix, one who could score in the 20-25 points per night range, taking extra heat off LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

The only other teams LaVine is possibly tied to at the moment are the Philadelphia 76ers and the Sacramento Kings.
