Lakers Rumors: Top 3 Lakers Trade Targets For Deadline

The Los Angeles Lakers have been floundering since their In-Season Tournament victory nearly a month ago. They’ve gone 3-8 since that time and have dropped to 17-17 overall, plummeting to 10th spot in the Western Conference. The pressure is clearly building for them to make some moves before the February 8th trade deadline.

The Lakers have been tied to a number of different players around the league in various rumours throughout the past few months, but let’s take a look now at their three top trade targets, per Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report:

Zach LaVine

The Lakers, of course, have been linked to LaVine for months now, and with the team desperate to add more offense, the Bulls all-star is clearly the best option on the trade market. He would be the perfect compliment to LeBron James and Anthony Davis, being able to offer them some floor spacing, as well as shot creation himself. And as for his defence liabilities, LeBron, and a A.D. can clean up the mess there.

Alex Caruso

LA is all too familiar with Caruso as he was one of the pieces they mistakenly let him get away in free agency a few years back. Now it seems certain they would love to get his defensive intensity back and perhaps a blockbuster move with Chicago acquiring both LaVine and Caruso could be in the offing.

Bojan Bogdanovic

If the Lakers are unable to work out a deal for LaVine, their next best bet for an offensive boost would be the shooting and scoring of Bogdanovich, the veteran who most observers feel simply doesn’t fit in a Detroit Pistons rebuild. However, the word out of Detroit just might surprise you.

Yes, there are many other names to keep an eye on when it comes to Lakers trade targets, not the least of which are Trae Young and Dejounte Murray out of Atlanta. Whichever way the Purple and Gold turn, There will certainly be some sort of Hollywood story to write at next month's trade deadline.
