Top 10 Player Trade Rumor Rankings Heading to Deadline

As we close in on the Feb. 8th NBA trade deadline, there's a lot of smoke swirling around a number of players. But which rumors have some real fire behind them?

The Insiders at HoopsHype have ranked their Top 10 Most Rumored Players, and we'll assess their likelihood of being traded. The list is headed up by a player who was probably on the same list at this time last year—only now it seems far more likely that the Toronto Raptors will pull the trigger.

  1. Pascal Siakam, Toronto Raptors
  2. Dejounte Murray, Atlanta Hawks
  3. Zach LaVine, Chicago Bulls
  4. Andrew Wiggins, Golden State Warriors
  5. Jonathan Kuminga, Golden State Warriors
  6. Chris Paul, Golden State Warriors
  7. Harrison Barnes, Sacramento Kings
  8. Kevin Huerter, Sacramento Kings
  9. Keegan Murray, Sacramento Kings
  10. Draymond Green, Golden State Warriors
Finally, Raptors president Masai Ujiri pulled the trigger this season on trading OG Anunoby. Now, all signs point to Siakam following OG out the door. The Pacers and Warriors are two teams to watch.

NBA insider Chris Haynes has reported that there’s “ample interest" around the league in Dejounte Murray, and several teams have a great interest in the combo guard. The Los Angeles Lakers are near the top of that list.

As for Zach LaVine, this one also seems like an inevitability. It’s just a matter of finding a team to take on that onerous contract. Both sides are more than ready to part ways.

Insider Brian Windhorst says, “If they could trade Zach LaVine in the next five minutes, they would trade him and Zach would happily go to the airport.”

There's been a ton of buzz around the Warriors, who are definitely looking to be active at the deadline. Each of their rumored players, however, has a different situation: they’d really like to move Wiggins and his contract, they don’t really want to trade Kuminga, and they’re listening on Chris Paul and Draymond.

Same sort of situation in Sacramento, where the Kings are more than willing to ship out Barnes and Huerter, but young sensation Keegan Murray is next to untouchable.

Things will continue to heat up over the next few weeks; we'll keep you posted.
