NBA Trade Rumors: 3 Potential Josh Giddey Landing Spots

The Oklahoma City Thunder are headed home after an exciting season that saw them enter the upper echelon of the Western Conference. But not every player on the roster was a perfect fit. We looked at three players who won't be back next year, and one of them, Josh Giddey, is already making the rounds on the rumor mill.

His numbers decreased across the board this season, and he faced sordid offcourt issues, which makes the whole thing smell of "change of scenery needed."

Let's check out three potential landing spots for the OKC point guard.

San Antonio Spurs

The Spurs have already been linked to a number of point guards this offseason (see Young, Trae; Garland, Darius), as they look to solidify the 'one' spot, to get someone in place who can creatively and effectively get the ball to rising superstar Victor Wembanyama. Giddey could be a great fit here.

Washington Wizards

Oddly, the Wizards are the betting favorites right now to land Giddey, at +450 according to @BovadaOfficial. It makes some sense, as the Wiz could use any influx of talent they can get, and there has been word that Washigton's Kyle Kuzma could be a missing piece for OKC to pursue. Perhaps a trade in the making?

Toronto Raptors

The Thunder could use some rebounding off the bench and a couple of grizzled veterans. The rumor making the rounds is that Bruce Brown and Kelly Olynyk could be offered from the Raptors in return for Giddey. Depending on what Toronto has in mind for free agent Gary Trent Jr., they could be in need of a second guard to pair up with Immanuel Quickley.
