Report: 3 Sacramento Kings “Untouchable”, + 3 Trade Targets
This is not how the season was supposed to be going for the Sacramento Kings. At 9–11, they are in 12th spot in the Western Conference, not even in play-in positioning at the moment.
Hoping to be a playoff contender this year, management is not happy with its situation, and changes are coming in the way of trades.
Speaking on SiriusXM NBA Radio, insider Jake Fischer confirms that only three Kings players are untouchable.

"This is far below the expectations in Sacramento," said Fischer.
"I think Keegan Murray, Domantas Sabonis and De'Aaron Fox are the only guys that are really entrenched in that core and kind of untouchable there.
"Kevin Huerter is someone that the Kings have kind of dangled out there in trade talks for a long time."
With Keon Ellis's emergence and Malik Monk on hand, Huerter is very expendable.
Forward Trey Lyles is another piece the Kings would be fine to move on from in a trade.
Fellow Bleacher Report pundit Greg Swartz has offered up three trade targets the Kings must shoot for, since "Adding wings who can defend is the name of the game for the Sacramento Kings, a team that ranks just 16th defensively this season."
He names the following:
- Dorian Finney-Smith, F, Brooklyn Nets
- Matisse Thybulle, F, Portland Trail Blazers
- Chris Paul, PG, San Antonio Spurs
The first two address their need for perimeter defense, while CP3 would help off the bench behind Fox, as the Kings rank 27th overall in assist percentage. It's unlikely, however, that the San Antonio Spurs will want to give him up, as Paul is averaging 10.6 points and 8.2 assists while offering a steady veteran hand to help grow Victor Wembanyama into his superstardom.
