NBA Trade Rumor: 3-Team Proposed Blockbuster Moves Morant and Antetokounmpo
The Miami Heat are increasingly emerging as the frontrunners to land Giannis Antetokounmpo when he is finally moved by the Milwaukee Bucks—which should happen in the next couple of weeks, before the NBA Draft.
The latest proposed blockbuster comes to us from insider Evan Sidery, who figures it'll take a three-team deal to get this to go through, and it would take care of moving another disgruntled star player as well:
A potential three-team trade framework featuring both Giannis Antetokounmpo and Ja Morant:

Heat: Giannis
Bucks: Ja, Kel’el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Nikola Jovic, No. 13 pick, 2031 1st, 2033 1st
Grizzlies: Tyler Herro

Miami Heat receive:
- Giannis Antetokounmpo (from Bucks)
Milwaukee Bucks receive:
- Ja Morant (from Grizzlies)
- Kel’el Ware (from Heat)
- Jaime Jaquez Jr. (from Heat)
- Nikola Jovic (from Heat)
Memphis Grizzlies receive:
- Tyler Herro
For the Heat, they get the superstar they've been longing for to pair with Bam Adebayo ever since Jimmy Butler left a year and a half ago. But they'd have to give a big chunk of their future in Ware, Jaquez Jr. and Jovic, plus their top scorer of the present in Herro.
Miami would be able to field a strong starting lineup of Giannis, Bam and Andrew Wiggins in the frontcourt, and defensive dynamo Davion Mitchell and Norman Powell in the backcourt. As for the bench? They'd have to figure out how to populate it properly.
Why the Bucks would do this deal
The Bucks would get a huge reset with all those Miami youngsters, plus a superstar (if his head is on straight) in Morant to make them competitive again immediately. As Sidery notes, Morant would get to reunite with his former head coach Taylor Jenkins, which could rejuvenate him. Jacquez Jr. was runner-up for Sixth Man of the Year this season with Miami, while Ware is one of the top young centers in the game and only getting better. Jovic took a step back this season, but still has a ton of talent.
Would Grizzlies swap out Morant for Herro?
The Grizzlies would get to have a clean break from the difficult Ja Morant Era. He would take his off-court issues and troublesome attitude out of town, and instead they would get a solid performer in Herro, who'll bring in his insane work ethic plus team-first attitude, along with his 20+ points per game to the backcourt to replace Morant.
