NBA Rumors: Timberwolves Were Eminently 'Serious' About Adding A Superstar at Trade Deadline
The Minnesota Timberwolves made a nice run to the Western Conference Final, though have succumbed to the much more ready-for-prime-time Oklahoma City Thunder in five games. But who knows what the stretch run would have held for the Wolves if they had pulled off their 'serious' bid for Kevin Durant at the trade deadline.

Timberwolves to continue all-out pursuit of Kevin Durant
This jibes with another new report on the T-Wolves on Friday. Apparently, this urgent pursuit of KD by the T-Wolves has not stopped. It seems that they are once again going to go all-out to try to land the 15-time All-Star this summer:

Sam Amico of Hoops Wire insists that Minnesota wants to find themselves another "alpha" dawg for their lineup to get to the next level.
“The Timberwolves need another ‘alpha’ next to Edwards to win it all, which is why sources told Hoops Wire that Minnesota is expected to pursue a Durant trade again this offseason.”
And Amico adds that his sources tell him that KD would, indeed, be "interested in playing for the Timberwolves."
What kind of return they could offer Phoenix remains to be seen, as a couple of their most valuable assets—Naz Reid and Julius Randle—could both be free agents this summer.
