BREAKING NBA TRADE: Kevin Durant Blockbuster Deal Is Done, Stays Out West

We heard Sunday morning that a deal was expected at any moment, now, with Game 7 of the NBA Finals set for Sunday night, Sunday afternoon will be consumed with the trade of superstar Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets.

Who did the Suns get in trade for Kevin Durant?

Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks and the No. 10 pick in this month's NBA Draft head to Phoenix, plus five second-rounders.

Many observers, including Zach Lowe, don't expect to see Green in the Phoenix lineup, however, as the Suns will likely be flipping him in another deal.
Lowe calls it "very, very likely" for Phoenix to flip the former No. 2 overall draft pick. This projection makes sense, as a Devin Booker/Jalen Green pairing doesn't make a lot of sense. However, Phoenix insider John Gambadoro doesn't agree:
The Miami Heat are said to have been neck-and-neck with Houston down to the wire, but came up short in their offer. They were unwilling to surrender rookie center Kel'el Ware, according to insider Brett Siegel

According to another insider, Marc Stein, the Houston Rockets were adamant that they would only trade for KD if Jalen Green was the only piece from its young core that they had to surrender. Mission accomplished. Alperen Sengun, Amen Thompson and Jabari Smith Jr. will remain in Houston, with Fred VanVleet expected to be re-signed, and the starting lineup now filled out by none other than Durant.
This incredible scene took place at a live event Sunday morning with Durant on stage in front of hundreds of fans, as the deal was announced:
KD averaged 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.2 assists in 62 games this past season for Phoenix, and brings the assassin-like closer that the Rockets needed.
